As an emerging museum professional, Sohayla Pagano has a passion for both education and museum service. She recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Art Education from The Ohio State University, where she also taught a writing course focused on the critical analysis of television through the lens of social diversity. Her research interests and coursework focused on museum education and administration, material culture theory, and multicultural education. In addition to a Master’s degree, Sohayla also holds bachelor’s degrees in Art History and Architecture from Penn State University.
In her position as a Creative Learning Engineer, Sohayla works to support K-16 and museum educators in teaching standards-based content and skills in engaging and innovative ways. She is particularly excited about the role of integrated teaching strategies in promoting hands-on learning experiences, fostering critical thinking, and supporting life-long learning. When not working to support educators, Sohayla can often be found drinking tea, laughing at silly jokes, and twirling. Click HERE to email Sohayla.
